Berny Sarfo, Chief Executive Officer of Bizzle Entertainment, has highlighted the lack of unity among Ghanaian artists as one of the reasons they struggle to headline major international shows.

Mr Sarfo, the only Ghanaian promoter invited to this year's AfroNation music festival in Portugal, emphasized the importance of unity in an interview after the event.

He expressed gratitude to the Co-founder of AfroNation, Smade, and the entire team for the opportunity to work on the AfroNation platform.

During the festival, Ghanaian artists including Camidoh, , and delivered impressive performances, while renowned acts like 50 Cent, Popcaan, Burna Boy, Asake, Ayra Starr, and headlined the event.

Sarfo noted that for Ghanaian artists to headline major shows globally, it is crucial for the top artists to support and promote upcoming talents, enabling them to create more hits.

Sarfo identified the lack of self-promotion among Ghanaian artists as a major hindrance to their success. He stated, “It is hard to see an artiste in Ghana promoting other artists' songs even on , and that is not helping our entertainment industry.”

Sarfo further emphasized that Ghanaian artists rarely surprise their fellow artists on stage, unlike their Nigerian counterparts who often make unexpected appearances at shows, drawing in audiences and creating an element of surprise.

In addition to unity, Sarfo urged Ghanaian artists to focus on building their presence on social media and streaming platforms. He emphasized that having a substantial following, similar to Nigerian artists like Burna Boy and Wizkid, attracts the attention of major event organizers, leading to more international show opportunities.

Sarfo noted that the Nigerians have been successful in implementing these strategies, which is why they are securing major shows worldwide.

With a successful track record of organizing concerts, including the annual Afroflex in London featuring renowned artists such as , Kwabena Kwabena, Nana Quami, Article Wan, and Nero X, Sarfo continues to make significant contributions to the music industry.
